Types of Headaches
Headaches may be caused by a number of conditions, such as infection, trauma, or vascular disorder. Headaches due to an underlying medical condition are classified as secondary headaches because they are related to a prior condition. Headaches that are determined to be the main medical problem are classified as primary headaches. Other contributing factors may include medications, dehydration, or changing levels of hormones.
